Color and demosaicing

An Edge-direct interpolations method, which uses horizontal and vertical gradients in the bayer image, for demosaicing was implemented and compared to nearest neighboring, bilinear and bicubic interpolation. The lab also handled multispectral imaging, where images were simulated to be lit under different lights. An RGB images was created by using a multispectral image, a known camera model and a known light source such as D65. By taking pictures on a color chart with known corresponding XYZ-values under a known light source the camera was calibrated to be used as a colorimeter.
